Product Overview

Featuring SmartDose technology, the 310G Gas portable is a full-featured unit with a sleek design. SmartDose auto-adjusting feature responds to patient activity, giving more oxygen as it is needed, and turning down oxygen to a base level when resting. Using an advanced valve system, the Mini+ allows users, on any oxygen setting, up to 1,000 hours of breathing time on a single set of alkaline batteries*.  Always delivering the oxygen bolus in the first 2/3 of the inhale, SmartDose gives the right dose at the right time, to give unmatched therapeutic results.

SmartDose multi-valve feature shapes the oxygen delivery to provide a gentle, quiet pulse when possible, but is also able to deliver a faster, high flow dose when needed. SmartDose microprocessor algorithms calculate the delivery valve(s) on each and every breath to give users the most comfort and quiet oxygen delivery available.

*1,000 hours based on 20 breaths/minute

Frequently Asked Questions

How does SmartDose know when I need more oxygen?

SmartDose monitors your breathing patterns to “learn” what your resting patterns look like and then can determine periods of activity.

Why don’t I feel or hear the pulse like on other pulsing units?

The multi-valve feature of SmartDose has three flow options for delivering the pulse. When breath rate is low (resting), many doses can be delivered in the first 2/3 of the inhale with much lower flows than other units use. In this case, SmartDose uses the lower flow valve, to still deliver the same volume of oxygen. When you move, your breath rate increases and SmartDose will use a higher flow valve to fit the dose into the shorter inhale.

How long between battery charges?

The SmartDose Mini+ portable will typically run for 1,000 hours on a set of new alkaline batteries.

How do I know when my batteries are low?

The low battery light will begin to flash when the batteries are approximately 8 hours from depleted. The low battery light will light solid red when the batteries are too low to operate the unit.

Can I use regular alkaline batteries in the SmartDose portable?

Yes.

How long will the unit last before I run out of oxygen?

This will vary from patient to patient, and depends on the size cylinder used. Monitor the SmartDose contents gauge the first few times to determine the typical duration of any cylinder size.
